  Most cat litter sold in India fails in the same two places: it turns to mush at the bottom of the tray, and it stops holding smell after day three. This litter is built to fix both.
  
  Hard clumping that survives scooping
  Natural sodium-free bentonite forms clumps that hold their shape when you lift them. Cheaper litters add sodium to fake a harder clump — it produces a cement-like mass that is unsafe if your cat ingests it while grooming. We don't add it. You get a firm clump that scoops out whole, so the clean litter underneath stays clean and the bag lasts longer.

  How much litter does one cat need?
  A 5kg bag typically lasts one cat about 3 to 4 weeks with daily scooping. Keep a depth of 5 to 7 cm in the tray — too shallow and clumps stick to the base, too deep and you waste litter. Scoop once daily and do a full change every 3 to 4 weeks.
  
  How to switch your cat to a new litter
  Cats reject sudden changes. Mix 25% new litter with 75% old for three days, then 50/50 for three days, then 75/25, then go fully new. Rushing this is the single most common reason a cat starts going outside the box.

  Is bentonite cat litter safe for kittens?
  Clumping bentonite is generally recommended for kittens over 4 months. Younger kittens sometimes eat litter while exploring, so a non-clumping or pellet litter is safer until they grow out of it.
  
  Can I flush this litter down the toilet?
  A flushable option is available, but in most Indian apartment plumbing we recommend against flushing clay litter — pipe diameters and water pressure vary a lot and clay can settle. Bag and bin it instead.
  
  Why is my litter still smelling after a few days?
  Almost always one of three things: the tray is too small for the cat, the litter depth is under 5 cm, or clumps are being left in for more than 24 hours. Fix depth and daily scooping first before switching brands.
  
  Bentonite or pine wood — which should I buy?
  Bentonite if you want maximum odour lock and the firmest clumps. Pine wood if you want the lowest dust, an eco-friendly option, and less tracking. Both are on our Cat Litter page.

    How is this different from cheaper bentonite litter?
    Two things: no added sodium, and activated charcoal. Sodium fakes a harder clump but is unsafe if ingested. Charcoal adsorbs ammonia rather than masking it with fragrance.
