What cat litter is best for small apartments in India?

Should I choose bentonite or pine wood cat litter?

How deep should cat litter be in the tray?

Fill the tray to about 5 to 7 cm. Scoop solids and clumps daily and top up as needed.

How do I switch my cat to a new litter?

Mix gradually: start with 25% new litter and 75% old, then half-and-half, then 75% new, spending about three days at each stage. Slow down if your cat hesitates.

Can I flush bentonite clay litter?

No. Do not flush clay litter. Bag used litter and follow local waste-disposal rules.

Does catnip work on all cats?

No. Roughly two out of three cats respond to catnip; the response is genetic. Kittens under about three months usually don't respond at all. See our catnip guide.

How often can I give my cat catnip?

Offer catnip no more than 2 to 3 times a week. Cats become less sensitive with constant exposure, so spacing it out keeps the effect strong. Store the bottle closed and away from direct sunlight.

How do I stop my cat scratching the sofa?
